Fresh vs Faux - The Flower Debate
Nothing can recreate the feeling of walking down the aisle on your wedding day with a fabulous scented bridal bouquet, but where do you stand?
When you are getting married overseas it can seem like a waste ordering all fresh floral centrepieces, bouquets and buttonholes for your wedding, and you find yourself asking - is it worth it? Fresh flowers add a romantic and elegant ambience at weddings. They are aromatic, beautiful and the atmosphere of a wedding with stunning floral arrangements cannot be replicated. Flowers, along with the right decorations can add a touch of you personality to the day, they can reflect who you are and add character to your theme.
If you are tight on funds, you can still have fresh arrangement, but you have to be careful with the choices you make. Select flowers that are native to the country you are marrying in, and choose flowers that are in season. This will really make a difference to the cost.

Silk flowers are really coming into fashion at the moment, especially for destination brides on a budget. You can choose the bouquets and buttonholes in the UK and take them with you when you travel to your wedding location.
As long as you choose well, faux flowers can still look beautiful and from a distance they look like the real thing. They won’t wilt in the heat of the day and they are more durable than fresh.
Silk flowers can be kept and displayed once you return home, they are memories that will last forever.

Every bride has their own thoughts and feelings in the debate of faux vs fresh. We stand firmly on the side of fresh, as nothing can recreate the feeling of walking down the aisle with a fabulous scented bridal bouquet, but where do you stand………………………..?
