Planning a destination wedding can be quite overwhelming, and it’s difficult to know where to start. You probably have lots of ideas going round in your head, and a Pinterest account bursting with your favourite pins. You just need somewhere to put them all!
A mood board is a representation of the spirit and vision you would like your wedding day to have. It’s a great way to see how all your pieces will fit together, and to see if your concept really works. It’s also a fantastic way to explain to your wedding advisor how you would like your wedding to look and feel!
A mood board is never set in stone it can adapt and change as you get further and further into the planning process. You can take away pieces you think aren’t really working, and add new items that you think might work better.
When starting your mood board, and when trying to decide on a colour theme, it’s best to sit down and really think about the ambience and feeling you would like your wedding to have. Do you want it to be romantic and magical, happy and energetic, relaxed and laid back? What do different colours mean to you? What emotions are evoked when you look at them?
Below are some of our favourite mood boards from this year. They are all very different but equally as beautiful!!
