Limassol
Limassol is a popular holiday destination, not least for its central location making it the perfect base for exploring the island. It also boasts a long sandy coastline and some of the island’s top hotels, not to mention excellent shops and a fantastic selection of restaurants, bars and clubs, definitely the resort of choice if you like wining and dining and enjoy the Mediterranean café culture! Modern-day couples can choose from two town halls, Anglican or Catholic churches and some stunning hotel wedding venues.
Ayios Athanasios Town Hall is situated around 15 minutes from most of the hotels and is in typical local style surrounded by arches and set in a small garden. Weddings take place in the air-conditioned wedding room
Yermasoyia Cultural Centre is located in the village of Yermasoyia not far from Limassol’s main tourist area. Civil ceremonies take place in the cultural centre a delightful building of local stone built in traditional style around a central courtyard. Weddings can take place inside the marriage room or in the outdoor amphitheatre, perfect for a ceremony with a little local flavour.
Hotel Weddings
If you’re looking for a luxurious setting for your special day then a hotel wedding is a great option in Limassol. The resort boasts some of the island’s swankiest hotels and civil ceremonies can take place in their beautiful gardens or even on a pier surrounded by the sea! Several hotels also have wedding chapels in typical local style which are perfect for an intimate Anglican ceremony or blessing.
