Civil weddings can take place in one of the areas’ three town halls as well as the grounds of the folk museum, religious ceremonies are available at Ayia Kyriaki Church (St. Paul’s Pillar) and St. George’s church; selected hotels also offer weddings within their grounds.

Built in classical style, this centrally located town hall is a popular choice for weddings. The tastefully decorated marriage room can accommodate up to 20 people and the Greek columns on the façade of the building provide an elegant backdrop for your wedding pictures.

Peyia is a traditional village located around 30 minutes from the centre of Paphos and is an ideal location for guests staying in the Coral Bay area. Weddings in Peyia take place in the picturesque courtyard of the old village spring. The courtyard with its backdrop of orange trees and the building’s stone steps are the perfect setting for your wedding pictures.

This charming church is located a short drive away from Paphos harbour next to the remains of a Roman basilica and the historic site of St. Paul’s Pillar. The tranquil stone interior of the church with its painted icons and chandeliers make a wonderfully romantic setting for exchanging your vows, there is also an organist who can play your choice of wedding music and hymns. Photos can be taken both inside the church and outside with the roman remains as a backdrop but please note that only authorised photographers are allowed to take pictures inside.
St. George’s Chapel

Set in its own beautiful gardens, this impressive church is built in traditional orthodox style with a domed roof and rich icons inside and is located some 20 minutes away from the centre of Paphos. The church itself is fairly small and can accommodate up to 30 people inside making it the perfect choice for an intimate ceremony. The church is air-conditioned and has a CD player for your wedding music.

Most hotels charge a set up fee for on-site wedding ceremonies, however if you have booked your wedding through a tour operator a basic venue may be included in your package, you may also be able to upgrade to another venue for an additional fee. Some hotels will also offer their wedding venues to non-residents upon request and subject to availability, an additional set up/ venue hire fee may apply.
