We are delighted to announce that once again the Aeolos Customer Service team have been recognised in the TUI Service Awards. The team, who look after guests from TUI Germany, TUI Austria and TUI Swiss were awarded 2nd place in the medium sized destinations category for the winter 2009-2010 season (Larnaca) and 2nd place for best Service Team for Paphos and Larnaca combined for summer 2010.
The TUI Germany Service Awards are based on customer questionnaires and customer service effectiveness, acknowledging and rewarding the best service teams worldwide. Destinations are divided into three categories; small, medium and large destinations with Larnaca and Paphos in the middle category. Congratulations to all involved!

Following on from our successful social media seminar at the end of last year we have been focussing on developing our social media platforms. We have created an account on Facebook as Bookcyprus Aeolos Travel which you can find at www.facebook.com/Bookcyprus, the page already has almost 800 friends. We are also developing fan pages for our specialist segments starting with the weddings and excursions to provide B2C and B2B customers a forum for interaction, our wedding page is currently getting more than 2000 post views each day and our fans are very active in asking questions and offering advice, check out our page on www.facebook.com/Cyprusweddingadvisor

Aeolos goes social

Around 15 Aeolos managers and staff took part in a seminar on the use social media in tourism at the end of October. The weekend-long seminar took place in the luxurious surroundings of the Capo Bay Hotel in Protaras and was led by social media expert Petros Mavros.

Aeolos joins board of the CSTI

Aeolos Travel represented by General Manager Incoming Antje Papageorgiou, is the latest member of the board of the Cyprus Sustainable Tourism Initiative.
The CSTI aims to develop a sustainable approach to tourism in Cyprus combining memorable experiences for visitors with economic benefit for village communities whilst minimising adverse socio-economic and environmental impact.
The CSTI is a non-profit organisation which was established in 2006 as a partnership of leading tour operators, Cypriot environmental NGO’s, the Cyprus Tourism Organization (CTO), Cyprus Agents and small village producers, their communities and associations
Aeolos has been involved with the CSTI for some years with members of staff taking part in various projects and events; these strengthened ties reflect Aeolos’ commitment to the protection of the environment and the development sustainable tourism.
